Sustainable Construction for Homes and Buildings
This site helps make small and medium-sized (SMEs) companies aware of the changes within the construction industry and makes those changes simple to understand. This increases the opportunities open to companies to benefit from low carbon housing initiatives such as the Green Deal.
Carbon reduction targets are already affecting contractors involved in new house-building and also domestic repair and maintenance. Targets for low carbon homes are listed in the Cut the Carbon Countdown calendar. The focus of this campaign is to provide up-to-date information to SMEs on how to update skills to help win contracts in the new green economy.
Climate Change Minister Greg Barker launches a partnership to ensure the UK has the right skills to implement the Green Deal
